Gintime was lucky enough to be invited on a very splendid Press Trip by Caorunn Gin. Not only did we get to visit the distillery, one of the oldest whisky distilleries on Speyside, we also got to drink cocktails in the UK’s highest bar – The Ptarmigan on top of Cairn Gorm. And here are some of the delicious cocktail Caorunn Brand Ambassador Ervin Trykowski made us:
Flying Monkey
- 40 ml Caorunn Gin
- 15ml Marachino
- 25ml Lemon Juice
- 25ml Apple Juice
- Egg White
Method: Shake, garnish: star anise
Midgey Bite
- 40 ml Caorunn Gin
- 25ml Pressed Apple Juice
- 15ml Blackberry and Raspberry Vinegar
- 15ml Raspberry Syrup
- Egg White
Method: Shake, garnish: Pickled Berries
Almond Gin Fizz
- 37.5ml Caournn Gin
- 12.5ml The Bitter Truth – Crème de Violette
- 2 Cardamon Pods
- 25ml Lemon Juice
- 15ml Orgeat Syrup
- Egg White
- Soda
Method: Muddle cardamon, add remaining ingredients then dry shake and wet shake.
Serve in a Collins Glass and top with soda
Balmenach Cup
- 40ml Caorunn Gin
- 15ml Tawny Port
- 15ml Strawberry and Bay Leaf Syrup
- 20ml Lemon Juice
Method: Shake, garnish: Lemon, Mint or Bog Myrtle
